No other game than WoW has left such a huge impact on my life.

I've never thought about this before but after catching up with an old friend this past weekend I never noticed what an impact this game had on my childhood.

I'm far from a gamer, I was more into as a kid but still not what you'd call hardcore. In 2004 I was 12 years old, my favorite game was Warcraft III. When I saw an advertisement for World of Warcraft I assumed it was another RTS and asked for it for Christmas, I ended up getting it around launch day instead but we had a PC running windows 98 and a dial up connection. I could hardly play.

I couldn't really do much but I loved exploring and chatting with people in my guild, eventually we got a better PC and internet and I started leveling more and actually playing. As I got older and the game grew I got better and better at it, started raiding around the middle of BC, by WotLK I was in one of the top guilds on my server. After that expansion things died off a bit, but I never truly stopped playing.

Looking back now it's been almost 13 years where I've never been unsubbed for more than 6 or 8 months.

Anyways, what got me thinking about this was while my friend and I were having a coffee and driving around our old neighborhood we got talking about all the people we met along the way.

We were in a guild run by a married couple and they got divorced while we raided with them (unrelated to wow).

We helped a kid through his highschool exams by studying with him (using Ventrillo lol).

Watched as our guild leader in WotLK went from engaged to married to having children.

At my "prime" I was playing probably 6-7 hours a night (did this again when legion launched, felt like I was 16 again) so I really got to know the people I played with.

I know this is kind of off topic and pointless, but these last few days I've been really thinking back on all the great times I had playing this game, and I wanted to talk to someone about it.

Wowprogress m+ bug.

No other game than WoW has left such a huge impact on my life.Hey, yesterday I decided to do some m+ runs for dungeons that were upgrades for my m+ score. But instead of updating my real profile, the dungeons I ran yesterday was instead to scored to another random bug profile on Well of Eternity realm. Same happened for all of our players who was participating on the runs with me. Here's my real wowprogress profile And here is the bug profile. Anyone has the slightest idea what would cause this? For example of another profile, Here another hunter who did the maw with us. Well of Eternity profile. submitted by /u/Kepsuda [link] [comments]...
