Warcraft has been an MMO longer than it has been an RTS

I was thinking about wanting to play a Warcraft RTS today and I realised that Warcraft has been in the MMO genre longer than it has been in the RTS genre.

Warcraft: Orcs & Humans released in 1994.

Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne released in 2003.

Total: 9 years.

World of Warcraft released in 2004.

World of Warcraft: Battle For Azeroth will release in 2018.

Total: 14 years and counting.

It's weird to think about for someone who's played Warcraft games going back to Warcraft 1. At first World of Warcraft felt like a temporary diversion from the RTS line. Now a new Warcraft RTS may just be a temporary diversion from their main MMO line.

Blizzard, as difficult/impossible the artifact challenge is for me right now DONT nerf it.

Warcraft has been an MMO longer than it has been an RTSI hear people on general, trade chat saying that they want it nerfed because they die in the first 10 seconds. When I ask ilvl it's usually around 870. So I say this, don't let the people who can't do it and whine change this game. I'm loving how there is a challenge I can't quite reach and you know what? It's making me want to gear up. I'm 891 and I'm going to start heroic nighthold for more gear. This is what the players who complain should do. Never nerf a challenge unless there is a bug that is stopping people from doing any of it of course. Edit: spelling/formatting errors submitted by /u/Advencraftgaming [link] [comments]...
