What class will you play with Allied races?

What class will you play with Allied races? So, I know that we probably won't get allied races any time soon, but I am already planning what classes will I take with my new toons. I am thinking: Lightforged - priest (paladin is also thematically appropriate, but I have higher level paladin and no priest) Void elves - rogue (seems fitting, hiding in shadows) Highmountain - warrior (to honor poor Warebrave Oro, he died so we could save azeroth) Nightborne - most likely arcane mage (cause they are into illusions... lmao) What about you? submitted by /u/TheTinyGM [link] [comments]...

The levelling rework got me thinking; do prospective new players feel alienated not knowing the context of The Cataclysm that starter zones bring up?

The levelling rework got me thinking; do prospective new players feel alienated not knowing the context of The Cataclysm that starter zones bring up?I'm a pretty low-level player, around 30. I play on and off at a snail's pace with a nelf main. I've always been able to enjoy the experience of playing the game between liking the scenery, RP server, a suite of presentation addons, and playing it with my significant other. But I've heard that the levelling rework - with enemies getting more health being significant, as is the scaling / openness of choice - is sorely needed because apparently the game has problems with new player retention. I can imagine it. If not for the things I listed above, I don't think I would have stayed on. (I don't consider playing at a snail's pace to be a detriment, that's just how...

Future Wishlist: Generic glyphs that alter the color of abilities to match specific magical families.

Future Wishlist: Generic glyphs that alter the color of abilities to match specific magical families.Title is probably a little confusing but I'm finding myself a little frustrated about picking a class for the new Elf races. They feel very locked into one or two specific classes because of their specific aesthetics. I think it would be kinda cool to see a glyph that alters the over all color scheme of our abilities to match a specific family of magic. Like applying Glyph of the Arcane to a Monk would make all their Chi stuff look like Arcane Magic or giving a warrior a Glyph of the Void would make their different martial abilities more voidy. I don't know, probably a pie in the sky dream that will never happen but it would be nice from an RP perspective. submitted by ...

I really hope Sylvanas stays loyal in BfA.

I really hope Sylvanas stays loyal in BfA.I don't know, I keep hearing from players and youtubers that a potential plot point in the next expansion could be Sylvanas betraying the Horde for personal gain. I like Sylvanas, I like the no-nonsense veteran badass warchief she is. I don't mind her staying around a while. With hippie Thrall, Garrosh being Garrosh, and Vol'jin not really being fleshed out, I think the Horde has gotten the short end of the stick with their leadership narrative. Anduin has an awesome coming of age story. His character arc has been fantastic. I guess I just want an equally impressive faction leader in an expansion heavily focused on faction pride. Sylvanas is that faction leader for me. su...

Serious question; Shouldn't the ORIGINAL races get something, so that the Allied races don't just feel objectively superior?

Serious question; Shouldn't the ORIGINAL races get something, so that the Allied races don't just feel objectively superior?I know people are suggesting Heritage Armor left and right now, and I'm not even saying that... BUT... When you have "Lightforged Draenei" coming down the pipeline, it's hard to see "regular Draenei" as anything but inferior. Same with "Tauren" versus "Highmountain Tauren". These aren't just "new options", but they feel almost like "superior options". In another instance; wasn't the entire justification for Night Elves getting Mages in Cataclysm that they were supposed to be Highborne? So now, you've got nature-loving Night Elf Mages, Highborne/Nightborne Mages, and then Blood Elf Mages, who were supposed to repr...

Let's talk about Tyrande, the Nightborne, the Passage of Time and the Realist Worldview in World of Warcraft (Very Long and spoilery)

Let's talk about Tyrande, the Nightborne, the Passage of Time and the Realist Worldview in World of Warcraft (Very Long and spoilery)With the new cutscenes being datamined, many people are probably going to end up listening to the dialogue again, and this conversation will start over but without much nuance. I wanted to jump on this line of thought when the lines were first datamined, but here we are. Let's address a few things that comes up every time this topic is discussed at great length, if you want the meat of the conversation, skip the ones not bolded, as I won't really be mentioning them as their own point on their own. TL;DR at the very bottom. 1.) Tyrande and her distrust of the Nightborne I understand this is a large sore spot for quite a large number of people, but this isn't really a contentious...

What's going on in Outland??

What's going on in Outland??The Burning Crusade was the first expansion for WoW, and we obviously spent it exploring the "new" world of Outland. But of course it wasn't entirely new, there were plenty of remnants that we'd met before but hadn't seen in a long while, and even some major metropolitan areas like Shattrath. But since we left, we've not heard a peep about any of that world. The closest thing I can think of is that on the Horde side both Garrosh and Aggra came from the Mag'har, and on the Alliance side High Priestess Ishanah seems to be aboard the Vindicaar, having previously been the head of the Aldor in Shattrath. We've had reasonably frequent updates on what's happeni...

Will the mouse bug ever get fixed?

Will the mouse bug ever get fixed? For those fortunate enough not to suffer from this ancient bug, here's a short description: Whenever you click your mouse (left or right button) in WoW, there's a small chance that your mouse cursor will jump to the center of your screen. When that happens while you're trying to turn your character or pan your camera, it will cause you to move into a random direction or look up into the sky. Here's a video showcasing the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIaSqrWIoJs This bug happens exclusively in World of Warcraft (for me anyway). I've never had my mouse cursor jump in any other game or application except for a short period during Windows 8.1 when there was a simi...
